Silver Dollar Silver’s Christmas Festival is truly breath taking. Lights cover every inch of every building. BEAUTIFUL!
We love to visit Branson, MO. Silver Dollar City is a theme park located in Branson. They opened in 1960 and just celebrated their 50th birthday in 2010. They must be doing something right. Over 8 million people visit Branson each year. I am sure Silver Dollar City is a big reason why people visit Branson, especially during the Christmas season. The lights inside the park are truly amazing.

Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (NIV) Our challenge this Christmas season is to rejoice in the little things. Take time to be thankful for the moment that we are in. Find ways to create memories with your family and friends. Have fun and be thankful!!
The park has great rides for all ages. My kids love Wildfire and Powderkeg which are rollercoasters, the Lost River of the Ozarks which is a water ride that Caleb loves when he gets wet, the steam engine train, Fire in the Hole which is an indoor ride, and lots more. The park is filled with craftsman who demonstrate their art of glass blowing, quilt making, blacksmith, furniture makers, bakery, where you can watch them work, and much more. They have shows all day which change with each festival. Every couple of months the park celebrates a different festival, but Christmas is one we can not miss.
They have an Old Time Christmas theme in Nov. and Dec. Again, the lights are worth the entire trip. Every inch inside of the park is covered with Christmas lights. They also have a magical 5 story Christmas Tree that is set to music and changes constantly. The Dicken’s Christmas Carol play and the Living Nativity are other wonderful parts of the Christmas experience at Silver Dollar City.
