LAMBERTS – My opinion the Best Family Restaurant. You may know by now that I am originally from Mobile, Alabama. Mobile is a very short drive to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Pensacola Beach, and many other wonderful beaches in South Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. If you plan to visit any of these areas, you will not only want to fill up on the amazing seafood but also enjoy great Southern Cooking and a wonderful family experience at Lambert‘s. If you have never been to Lambert’s, you will be impressed with the enormous size of the portions. You will have plenty to take home and enjoy later. Not only is the portion size huge, but with every meal they include Pass-Arounds which consists of all you can eat Fried Potatoes & Onions, Macaroni & Tomatoes, Black-Eyed Peas, Fried Okra, Hot Rolls & Sorghum. My favorite is definitely the fried chicken.
I have confessed to my fried chicken obsession and Lambert’s fried chicken meets my high standards. The crust is extremely crunchy and the chicken is very juicy. My other favorite food at Lambert’s is the Potatoes & Onions, which are definitely the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant.
Not only is the food delicious and plentiful, but the fun comes in while watching my children, husband, and myself catch a roll. I do not know why it is so much fun to have a roll thrown across the entire room to you so that you can catch it. Maybe, it is because we teach our children it is bad manners to throw food at the table but in this place it is not only O.K. but it is encouraged. Everyone in the room is looking to see if you can catch. The pressure is on! If you catch your roll, you will find yourself eating it as fast as you can so that you can catch another one. If you have never been to Lambert’s, you are probably thinking we have lost our minds. You will just have to go and make your own family memories. I pretty much guarantee that you too will be acting in ways that you would have never thought you would have done. It is O.K. Just have fun!!
Lambert’s original location is in Sikeston, MO. We have also visited the location in Ozark, MO several times while on vacation in Branson. Ozark is thirty minutes north of Branson, MO. While visiting Branson, Lambert’s in Ozark is not to be missed.
