New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood is another great family friendly restaurant in the New Orleans area.  New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood has a location on the Northshore in Mandeville, LA.  It is a little different from most restaurants because you order at the counter and then find a seat.  When your food is ready, they will bring it out to you.  If you are looking for a delicious famous Po-Boy, try New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood.  They also serve the famous One-Handed BBQ Shrimp Po-Boy.  It is not really BBQ.  The shrimp are cooked in lots of butter and spices and packed down into a french loaf that has been hollowed out.  The seafood, spices, and crunchy bread are a great combination. The fried catfish and shrimp are also another good choice.  Whatever you order, I am sure you will enjoy it.  The drinks at New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood are self-service.  Try the tasty Raspberry or Peach tea and save room at the end of your meal for the self-serve soft ice cream.

One-Handed BBQ Shrimp Po-Boy from New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood. It is spicy but not too hot.  The fries are wonderful too.  They are served with a garlic butter sauce all over them.

My husband loves the fried Oyster Po-Boy or the fried catfish.  This time he got the Oyster Po-Boy pictured above.
