l love-making these easy chocolate garnishes to decorate desserts. They really do give the dessert that extra special touch that says “I Love You”. When we eat a really nice dessert, most of the time it is because we are celebrating something special. If we are celebrating something, the dessert has to look extra special. These chocolate decorations are very easy to make and make any dessert look great in minutes. Banana Pudding with these Chocolate Garnishes. Red Velvet Cake with these Chocolate Garnishes.
I have no special recipe. I do not use expensive chocolate, but you still need chocolate that really tastes great. I like Ghirardelli. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler on the stove. Do not let the bowl with chocolate touch the water. Slowly melt the chocolate and stir until creamy. Remove the bowl from the stove and continue to stir. Allow it to cool slightly. Place the melted chocolate into a piping bag with a small writing tip and freehand your designs onto wax or parchment paper. You can also trace designs onto the paper using a template or stencil.
Since we are thinking about True Love and Valentine’s Day, our example of how we should love comes from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. I have this passage hanging in my kitchen as a reminder of how I want to strive to live. We all need to be reminded daily, because it is definitely not easy.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
