If you have teenage boys, you know they have bottomless pits for stomachs. It can be extremely difficult to fill them up, especially with healthy snacks. I have found the best way to fill up all of my children, even my teenage boys, is to keep sandwiches made and ready to grab and go in the refrigerator. I started making a tub full of sandwiches every 2 to 3 days when my son started playing baseball. He really needed to grab a healthier snack or meal before and after games. Sandwiches are full of protein and great for growing teenagers. After school or baseball practice, he always wants a sandwich. The sandwiches are ready to grab and go. We have used them many times as a packed lunch for a quick bite to eat in between ball games. When you have 2 to 5 ball games a weekend, or more when he was playing traveling ball, sandwiches come in very handy. I have noticed when I have a tub full of sandwiches, someone is always grabbing one for breakfast, lunch, or snack. They get eaten extremely fast. On busy weeks, I usually have to refill the tub every couple of days. If you are looking for a way to fill up your child who has a bottomless pit for a stomach, try filling your refrigerator with ready-made sandwiches. So, they can just grab one and eat.
Some of our favorite cold sandwiches include Egg Salad, Ham Salad, Chicken Salad, Shrimp Salad, Roll Ups, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese, and even Peanut Butter & Jelly. I fill the bucket with a variety of kinds of sandwiches. To make them a little different each time I prepare them, I use a variety of bread including pita pockets, tortillas, sour dough, rolls, Hawaiian bread, and much more. I will be posting some of our favorite cold sandwich recipes this week. Other sandwich recipes on my blog.

Hey would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re using? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price? Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I use HOST Gator. I not sure it is my web host that is so fast. I believe it has a lot to do with the Thesis Theme. I switched over to the theme this year and I truly enjoy it. Blessings, Diane Roark
