Happy Father’s Day Jerry! I asked each of my family members what they enjoyed doing the most on our Disney World vacation. My plan is to write a post about each family members’ favorite things to do in Disney. I am starting with Jerry in honor of Father’s Day. Jerry is in medical sales and travels often. He is works very hard and is great at what he does. Most importantly, he is a wonderful dad and a good husband. He definitely deserves a day of rest and relaxation, especially after a very busy Disney vacation and then an extremely difficult week trying to catch up on everything. Jerry, we all truly love you and pray you have a great relaxing Father’s Day. Thank you for everything you do for all of us! You are a wonderful Godly example to us by giving us LOVE, GRACE, and FORGIVENESS!

Jerry’s Favorite Things at Disney World
Jerry mainly goes to Disney to see the SMILES on his family’s face but there are a few things that he truly enjoys. We tease him often because he always comments about how he would love to be at Disney World and lay on Disney grass. He just loves the landscaping and especially the lawns. It would make Jerry so happy if Disney would open up a section of their manicured lawn with lots of shade trees so he could just lie down and rest.
Epcot is definitely Jerry’s favorite Disney Park - Jerry says the landscape and lawns are perfect.
Soarin in Epcot at the Land - This ride is definitely a family favorite including Jerry’s favorite ride. In this ride, you experience hang-gliding over many California sights, like the ocean, San Francisco, the mountains, orange groves, and even Disneyland. Jerry loves the peaceful ride and especially being able to smell the sights as you fly over them, like the oranges and the ocean. He especially enjoys Soarin since it is a ride that the whole family can do together.
Eating Around the World in Epcot - Jerry loves walking through all of the countries in Epcot’s World Showcase and especially eating all of the unique foods. He says there is no other place where you can experience so many different types of foods in one 30 minute walk. Here are some of his favorite places to stop.
- Fish N Chips in Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion - Jerry says the fish is very flakey and battered and fried perfectly. He enjoys them with malt vinegar and really eats them up!
Smoked Salmon and Egg Sandwich at Kringla Bakeri in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion - Jerry is obsessed with smoked salmon. On our Disney Wonder Cruise to Alaska, his goal was to make a noticable dent in the salmon population. He really enjoyed this open-faced smoked salmon sandwich with hard-boiled eggs and dill cream cheese.
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort – Jerry loves this restaurant because of all the meat! ‘Ohana serves open-flame grilled steak, chicken, pork, and shrimp all family style. So, as long as you are hungry, the meat just keeps coming and coming. I think Jerry could have skipped dessert and just kept eating more meat.
The Beach and Lawn at Disney’s Polynesian Resort - As I mentioned before, Jerry loves to lie down and relax. At the Polynesian resort, there is a sandy beach along the Lagoon in front of Magic Kingdom and a grassy inlet from where you can get a great view of Cinderella’s Castle. Jerry approves both of these spots as being perfect for relaxing and maybe even a quick nap.
