I am in LOVE with my crock-pot. If your home is like mine, we just seem to get busier and busier. My home is full of activity with kids in homeschool, public school, private school, medical school and activities like football and baseball. Not to mention medical visits with special needs children, my husband’s job which keeps him extremely busy, a rental vacation property I manage, and blogging. It can be extremely hectic and challenging to get dinner on the table most of the time. My daughter is away in medical school. I cannot wait for each weekend so my family, including my daughter, can be home together. Even though I so look forward to weekends, it is not easy preparing meals for everyone. My family is always hungry. I would spend all day in the kitchen cooking three meals a day, if I did not have a crock-pot. With just a little effort, dinner can be on the table on time using my crock-pot. If I could only have one appliance in my kitchen, please do not take any of my crock-pots away from me. I have three crock-pots and many days all three crock-pots have wonderful aromas coming from them.
I have always wondered why some people say crock-pot and other people say slow cooker. I thought it was about what part of the country you are from, but I was wrong. You know like northerners say, “pop” and everyone in the south says, “COKE”. I recently found out if you have a crock-pot made by “CROCK-POT” like I do; then you say crock-pot. CROCK-POT is the brand name. But if you have a crock-pot made by some other company other than “CROCK-POT”, it is called a slow cooker. No matter what you call them, I hope you are using your Crock-Pot or slow cooker. It can help you get dinner on the table like no other appliance can.

I believe the secret to building stronger families that stick together, communicate more, and love each other is to cook together, eating around the table together, play together, vacation together, and share God’s love.
