I have been encouraging my family to eat more fruits and vegetables. One way I have found to do that is by drinking smoothies. They are easy to make. You can use your favorite fruits and even add vegetables to create delicious, healthy smoothies. We have been fixing smoothies several times a week for breakfast. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing some of our favorite smoothie recipes.
Today, I am sharing this Blueberry Coconut Greek Yogurt Smoothie. I have never been a big Greek Yogurt fan until I decided to try it in this smoothie. I am sure everyone already knows that Greek yogurt is extremely good for you. Did you know their is twelve grams of protein in Greek Yogurt or at least in the Chobani Greek Yogurt? This Blueberry Coconut Yogurt Smoothie is definitely filling. No wonder I am never hunger before lunch. I used Coconut Milk in this smoothie too. The kind in the carton you can find next to the Almond Milk in the dairy section of the grocery store. I also add blueberries which are super good for you. I am adding a link to explain all the great benefits. The older I get combined with a stressful life means I need a super food like blueberries to help with my memory. It does not matter to me how good for you something is if it does not taste good. This smoothie and the other smoothies I will be adding all taste really yummy.
- 1 cup Coconut milk (I use Almond Breeze milk found in the dairy section.)
- 1 - 5.3 ounces of Greek Coconut Yogurt
- 1 - cup frozen blueberries
- ¼ cup shredded unsweetened coconut
- Add all ingredients into a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
