The ingredients are basic pantry staples including, brown sugar, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, chocolate chips, and pecans along with milk and butter. This cookie dough is safer to eat because it does not include eggs.
HOW TO MAKE EDIBLE PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH
I have made several dessert dips in the past like Pumpkin Pie Dip and Key Lime Pie Dip. This Cookie Dough Dip is a little different. It is not made with cream cheese but actual cookie dough ingredients. In fact, I used a scoop and made some cookie dough balls. I froze them just like I do regular homemade cookie dough. The recipe they shared was using this dip made into cookie dough balls to put on top of a dessert pizza. They made a sugar cookie pizza and baked it. After it had cooled, they topped it with cookie dough balls, chocolate sauce, caramel, and pecans. I decided to try the chocolate chip cookie dough as a dip and not a dessert pizza. I did add pecans, salt, and mini chocolate chips. Some of us enjoyed this cookie dough dip with graham crackers and vanilla wafers, but most of us could not keep their hands out of the dough. I guess it was o.k. And much better for you than eating raw eggs.
- 1 cup real butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Two tablespoons milk
- Two teaspoons vanilla
- 12 - ounce bag mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- With a mixer, cream together butter and brown sugar.
- Add in vanilla and salt.
- Add in flour. This mixture will be crumbly.
- Add in milk.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
