What is my husband Jerry’s favorite foods?  BBQ, Hamburgers, and Steak.  So in his honor for Father’s Day, I am adding a RoundUp with his favorite foods.

It is not easy raising five kids.  Carly is now 22 and full time in medical school.  She will start her second year of training to become a doctor in August.  Casey will be 18 in August.  He will be a senior in high school this year.  Caleb, our special needs son,  will also be 18 in August.  Jonah is 15 and Diana will be 12 in July.  With this crew, Jerry would agree it takes lots of patience and prayer.  We all thank him for his dedication to making sure our family honors God, stays in church, prays, and studies God’s Word.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.   Proverbs 22:6

For those of you whose fathers are no longer with us, I totally understand.  My father passed away when I was 24.  He was only 58 years old.  I still miss him tremendously.  He was a wonderful daddy. Diane & Daddy

  1. Oh Diane, You look as beautiful now as the day of your wedding! Stunning!!! I’m so thrilled at all you and your family have accomplished, which is simply courageous and miraculous. I am so sorry about the loss of your father so long ago, yet grateful you have such loving memories of him. Your husband is a rock and a blessing; what a wonderful family you are for us to pattern after. Thank you. Love the Round-Up. Carrie, A Mother’s Shadow

    • Janine,

You are such an encourager everyday. You will never know how much it means to me. This is my BIG 3050 Celebration year. I will celebrate 30 years of marriage in August and 5 months later the other BIG birthday number. Time truly goes by so fast. Even though my bunch keeps me so busy, I will miss them when they are not all home. Luckily, I will have Caleb and Diana is just going into the 7th grade.
