This is another great collection of recipes from Gooseberry Patch which includes recipe ideas for breakfast, lunch, great snacks, dinner, and delicious desserts. My goal is to blog about three recipes from this Garfield cookbook before Friday, July 26th. I hope my posts will give you ideas of all the great recipes you will find in this Garfield cookbook. As usual, I had a difficult time deciding which three recipes to write a post about. I have finally decided to write separate posts about a juicy and tasty Hamburger, a delicious peach smoothie, and my kids’ favorite Easy Peanut Butter Cookies. Summertime is the perfect time to grill burgers while spending time with family and friends. I know my family just loves hamburgers and I am always looking for great burger recipes. This Garfield cookbook has several burger recipes, but I decided on the Devilishly Good Burger. The name is the only thing I did not care for. These hamburgers were extremely juicy and tasty. The secret for these burgers has to be mixing the ingredients together, pattying them up, and then allowing the burgers to marinate all day in the refrigerator. It really did make a big difference. We will definitely be making these juicy Great Burgers again.

Devilishly Good Burgers from Gooseberry Patch’s Garfield Cookbook – I multiplied this recipe by 4 to make 12 burgers, 1/3 pound each. The original recipe called for 1 pound of ground beef which would make 4 burgers, 1/4 pound each.
- 1 pound of ground beef - makes four ¼ pound burgers
- 2 tablespoons catsup or Ketchup
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon red steak sauce - see pictures
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Mix all the ingredients together and patty the burgers to your desired size.
- Cover and refrigerate the patties for at least 8 hours.
- Cook and serve the burgers to your preference.
- We grilled our burgers outside and served them on ciabatta buns with fresh tomato and bacon.
