EASY TO MAKE HEALTHY FRUIT INFUSED WATER

Orange Infused Water after 8 to 10 hours in the refrigerator.

I have a goal this year to incorporate more fruits and vegetables in my diet.  I am NOT a health nut, but I am sold on all the benefits of fruits and vegetables.  I know my body and my family’s body needs them.  I am convinced the best way to fight the huge problems with health issues and insurance, is too simple eat more fruits and vegetables.  I have been thinking about; why I do not add more fruits and vegetables into my diet and my family’s diet.  I think I get frustrated with the same old ways of preparing vegetables.  I know that vegetable casseroles like what I grew up on including; my sweet potato, green bean, lima bean, mixed vegetable, and more are delicious, but they are not good for you.   I love fresh vegetables, and summertime is the perfect time to add more vegetables to our diets.

  1. Wow…colourful yummy drinks

Water is too much beneficial for our body. more intake of water quantity increase our health benefits.

I want to add some health benefits of drinking water

    1. Water is the foundation of the body and it controls virtually every aspect of our health. The body is more than 70% water, the brain is more than 75%, your blood is more than 80%, and your liver is 96% water!

    2. All of the signals sent through your nervous system travel through your nerves, which are in reality tiny waterways. If the fluid inside your nerves thickens due to dehydration or is contaminated with synthetic chemicals and metals like lead, then these signals can get distorted.

    3. Both proper digestion and nutrient absorption depend on a healthy intake of pure water. This is one of the benefits of drinking water that’s often overlooked. We need to consume clean, healthy water in order to get nutritional value from the food we eat. Considering how fast sugars and carbs are absorbed, even a slight bit of dehydration cause cause us to get calories without nutrition.

    4. The amount of drinking water we consume determines our energy level. Medical proof shows that just a 5% drop in bodily fluids with cause a 25% to 30% loss of energy in an average person. And a 15% drop causes death!

    5. Natural, healthy weight loss can only occur by increasing one’s intake of pure, healthy water. Your liver uses water to metabolize fat into usable energy. The cleaner and purer your drinking water is, the more time that the liver can spend on metabolizing fat instead of eliminating harmful toxins that are often found in tap and even bottled water. .

    6. By drinking plenty of water, you’re allowing your upper and lower intestines to better absorb nutrients during digestion. Food cravings are primarily the result of nutrient deficiencies and can be controlled by drinking lots of pure, healthy water.

    Thanks for the share 🙂

  2. Blueberry Peach Smoothie is just amazing. I wish I could have it daily in morning but Blueberries very quite costly as well as not so easily available here in Mumbai. They are imported from a nearby hill station where all the berries grow.

  3. This great way to drink healthy substance. I will constantly practice drinking infuser. Lightly Steamed Vegetables Are not only Healthier for You, Your Families and Your Friends, They’re Actually more Attractive When You Serve Them

  10. Just found your blog through SITS Girls. I love all of these infused water ideas, especially for beating the heat and eating healthier this summer. I usually add lemon to my water, but haven’t tried other fruits. I can’t wait to try strawberries once picking seasons starts in the next week or two here in Maryland.

  11. This new idea of infusing water with fruit is wonderful! I love it! I have always loved lemon or cucumber and lime in my water, but adding strawberries, kiwis, etc is a great idea! Thanks for posting!

    • Elizabeth,

Adding lemon, cucumber, and limes are a great way to detox your body. I just made a huge picture of lemon infused water yesterday. I just washed the lemons really well and sliced them. I fill a gallon container with lemons and then add the water. By the way, I use the fruit a few times before getting rid of it.

  13. I don’t really do infused water because I can just drink it plain, but my hubby is the only one that has a difficult time drinking plain water. What do you do with the fruit? Do you eat it after?
Thanks for sharing this on Merry Monday.

    • Erlene,

I refill my infused water pitcher several times. I am not sure if you should, but it works for me. I hate to toss out good fruit. I use the oranges and lemons in my garbage disposer. It helps clean it out and makes it smell good.

      Blessings,
      Diane Roark

  17. Definitely have to try to do more infusing with our water this year. I did a lot of this last summer and was definitely so tasty and healthy, too. Big water drinker here though all year long, so to me this was just an added bonus to drinking water 🙂

    • Janine,

All of us seem to drink a whole lot more water when I infuse it. I cannot wait for the peach orchard across the street to open up. I love peach water and peach tea.

Have a great weekend and a Wonderful Mother’s Day. You are truly a GREAT MOTHER!!!

      Blessings,
      Diane Roark
