Why am I most proud of Carly? It is not because she is going to be a doctor.
Carly, my oldest daughter, turned 23 today. She brings such Joy to our family. Carly is very smart, studies extremely hard, and always wanted to be a doctor. I never had any doubt:
- She would graduate from high school as Valvictorian.
- Graduate in the very top of her college class.
- Be accepted to medical school and do very well her first year.
Most parents would be super proud of these accomplishments and I am, but I am even more proud of the way she honors God in everything she does. She has always spent time with God without being reminded. Even a couple weeks ago when I was helping her move to a different apartment, the first thing I noticed when walking in her apartment was her bible laying on the kitchen table. Carly is full of wisdom, but most of all she is full of Godly wisdom. She understand the importance of putting God first in her life. I am so proud of her for being a leader in Christian Student Medical Association. I am also very proud that most every weekend she comes home to see her family and to attend church together with us. She could be doing many other things. God has great plans for her and I cannot wait to see what an amazing doctor she will become. She is kind, patient, sweet, loving, understanding, and genuinely cares about others. I can not also wait to see how God uses her to help change the world.
Thank you Carly for being such a great role model, especial for your brothers and sister. You are an amazing young lady.
