Pasta salads are easy to prepare and are ready to eat without even warming them.  Pasta salads are the perfect dishes to make ahead of time for your family or a crowd.  It is high school baseball season in my house which means a lot of games during the week and on weekends.  I normally have a tub of sandwiches already prepared and ready to grab some of them and go.  I also have at least one of my pasta salads, Italian shrimp Pasta SaladGreek Chicken Pasta Salad, Southwestern Chicken Pasta SaladBalsamic Vinegar Pasta Salad,  Easy Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad, to eat no matter what time we get home.  Sometimes, it can be really late, but we always have something ready to eat.

Where did I get this BBQ Bacon Ranch Chicken Pasta idea?

We mix barbecue sauce and ranch together for a dressing after eating it years ago at a restaurant.  I am constantly thinking about what to have ready to eat after a baseball game.  My kids really enjoy my other pasta salads, so I decided to try a similar version using a barbecue ranch mixture for the dressing.  It turned out really good.  I like all of these kinds of pasta best when serving them immediately after making them.  The rest of my family likes these kinds of pasta best, including this BBQ Bacon Ranch Chicken Pasta, after they have been in the refrigerator awhile.  However you decide to try it, it will be really delicious.

    • Erlene,

Not only is BBQ Sauce and ranch good together but this is a super easy pasta. We eat a lot of pasta salads in the summer time because they are easy and you can eat them cold. My son, Casey’s, baseball team played this weekend and today in the District Baseball tournament. If they win they will be going to state baseball at the end of the week and weekend. He is a junior. Baseball is a lot of work but he only has one more year.

      Have a great day,
      Diane Roark

      • How is your son’s team doing? Did they win? Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share all of your recipes on Merry Monday. Have a great week.

        • Erlene,

Thanks for asking about my son’s baseball team. He played yesterday and they came in second, but the two teams that played yesterday both advance to STATE. State baseball with be starting tomorrow about 2 hours south of here. I am not sure if we will get to play. It has been raining for more than 24 hours straight. The ground is soaked.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment on my BBQ Bacon Ranch Chicken pasta. I hope to link up more often with you.

          Blessings Always,
