CHOCOLATE COVERED EVERYTHING!

I am thankful you landed here on my Chocolate Covered Everything post.

This chocolate covered everything post includes; Chocolate Covered Strawberries, White Chocolate Covered Pretzels, Chocolate & Caramel Covered Apples, Chocolate & Caramel Covered Pretzels, and even Chocolate Covered Heart Shaped Rice Krispy Treats.

Chocolate Covered Everything

After melting the chocolates and caramels, we truly dip everything in it.  We added pecans and sprinkles this time, but you can top these goodies with crumbled up Oreos, candy bars (which are my favorite) and lots of other items.   I hope you will melt some chocolate and caramel and have a Ton of Fun with your family making Chocolate Covered Everything!

These delicious strawberries, pretzels, apples, and Rice Krispy Treats make the perfect Valentine’s goodies or gifts.

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate

  • One bag of Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips (or two cups of chips)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Shortening

Melt in the microwave for one minute.  Stir constantly.  If need,  put it back in the microwave for another 15 seconds.

2 cups of Ghirardelli White Chocolate

  • One bag Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tablespoon of shortening

Melt on high one minute.  Stir until smooth.

Bag of Kraft Caramels

Open 14-ounce bag of Kraft Caramels and place them in a pot with 2 tablespoons of water. OR

Open the Caramel and place it in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 Tablespoon of water.  Melt for 2 minutes.

Stir constantly!  Add a few more seconds in the microwave if needed.

Caramel will thicken quickly as it cools, so use it first before melting the chocolate.  If it thickens, add a tablespoon of water.

Toppings Used

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped fine
  • red & white sprinkles as needed

Rice Krispy Treats

Make Rice Krispy Treats according to the directions on the box.

I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the Rice Krispies.

Pretzel Rods work great for dipping!

Dip pretzel rods in caramel and place on a sheet of wax paper to dry.

After melting the caramel, dip everything quickly. I showed you this apple because the caramel was beginning to get hard.  I would suggest NOT melting the chocolate until the last minute.

I love these chocolate covered strawberries coated in chopped pecans.  You could also coat them with coconut or mini chocolate chips.

After making the Rice Krispy treats, allow them to harden and cut them using a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Dip the entire heart into chocolate or just half of the heart.  I also drizzled some white chocolate on top of them.

  1. Diane, I’m on a diet. This blog is the answer to my cravings! I did this one year at Christmas when someone gave me some very good chocolate and a copper bowl. It melted the chocolate amazingly well and the chocolate covered everything made delicious treat! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Wow, this post just made me so hungry. Seriously, everything here looks amazing and delicious. I also love Ghiradelli chocolate. I also use their brownie mix, because they have the best one with fudge and chocolate chips included, too. Totally pinned and if I feel a need to be a bit bad and go off my diet, this is the the first post I am going back to try from. Thanks Diane!! 🙂
