Are you looking for an easy Hummus recipe? Do you love Hummus but would like to have an easier way to prepare it? If so, this post is for you.
Next to Bush’s canned black beans and chickpeas you will now find a new product called Bush’s Hummus Made Easy? I found a pouch of Bush’s Hummus Made Easy at my local Walmart in the bean aisle. Bush’s Hummus Made Easy pouches caught my attention. The package claimed you only needed to add a can of beans to it to make a delicious hummus. I was intrigued and surprised it only cost around $2. Recipes for our Daily Bread is all about making delicious easy recipes. I had to give this new hummus a try.
How do you make Bush’s Hummus with only two ingredients and three simple steps?
- You simply drain and rinse a can of black beans or chick peas.
- Next, you add the beans to a blender or food processor with a pouch of Hummus Made Easy and blend until smooth. That is all you have to do.
You could always add additional ingredients to customize the hummus, but it is not necessary. In all three of the hummus dips I made, I tasted each one before adding anything to the hummus. It was just delicious, but I did add a little heat to each one. The hummus comes in three flavors.

Bush’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

How does my family spend weekends?
A lot of weekends my family and I spend time together in our Motor Home. Even though it is large enough for my family, the kitchen can get cramped, to say the least. Because the kitchen is small, there is little room for more than one person to be cooking. When everyone is together which is rare, I want to be spending time with them.
My Oldest Daughter
My oldest daughter is in her third year of medical school. She is studying to be a doctor. Her work schedule plus studying leaves her little time to enjoy family. My oldest son is studying pre-med in college. He has to study just as hard most weeks. When we are together in our new RV, I want to make super easy recipes due to space and time.
Blackeye Pea Hummus
Black-eyed Pea Hummus
I was born and raised in Alabama and have lived all over the south. Southerners including myself love Black-eyed Peas. I decided to try a black-eyed pea hummus. I simply added a pouch of Bush’s Classic Hummus Made Easy and a can of chickpeas. To kick it up I decided to add six pieces of crumbled bacon and two tablespoons of Cayenne Sauce. It turned out delicious. I refrigerated it for an hour before eating to thicken it up some. The Cayenne Sauce made it a little thinner. It was perfect and delicious.
How To Make Quick Easy Black-eyed Pea Hummus
- One 6 ounce pouch of Bush's Classic Hummus Made Easy
- One 15 ounce can Bush's Black-eyed Peas
- 6 pieces of bacon cooked and crumbled
- 2 Tablespoons Cayenne Sauce
- Drain and Rinse the peas
- Add the peas to a food processor, hand held Immersion only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="1086" data-gr-id="1086">Blender, or blender
- Blend until smooth
- Stir in the crumbled bacon
How did I start blogging about easy recipes?
I am finding that people love easy recipes. When I first started blogging, I added a lot of “Made from Scratch Recipes” to my blog. They were incredibly delicious recipes, but I rarely had time to prepare them. These made from scratch recipes were not doing as well on my blog as I had hoped. I started blogging about easy recipes instead. Easy recipes started doing well on my blog and still do today. It hit me that people are like me, they truly do not have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. Southwestern Black Bean Hummus
No one in my family could agree which hummus recipe was the best. That is how much we all enjoyed them. Because I love Southwestern food and black beans, this Southwestern Black Bean Hummus with Jalapenos was my favorite combination.
How to Make Quick Easy Two Ingredient Southwestern Black Bean Hummus
- One 6 ounce pouch of Bush's Southwestern Black Bean Hummus Made Easy
- One 15 ounce can Bush's Black Beans
- 2 Tablespoons diced Jalapenos
- Drain and Rinse the black beans
- Add the beans to a food processor, hand held Immersion only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="113" data-gr-id="113">Blender, or blender
- Blend until smooth
- Mix in 2 tablespoons Jalapenos
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
If you are a roasted red pepper fan, you will not be disappointed in this hummus. I have purchased several premade roasted red pepper hummus from the store, and none of them had as much flavor as Bush’s Roast Red Pepper Hummus Made Easy. It is simply delicious.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Recipe
- One 6 ounce pouch of Bush's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Made Easy
- One 15 ounces can Bush's Chick Peas
- 2 Tablespoons Chipotle Sauce
- Drain and Rinse the Chick Peas
- Add the peas to a food processor; hand held Immersion Blender or blender
- Add one pouch of Bush's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
- Blend until smooth
- Add Chipotle Sauce and blend
