This Lemonade Cake is an Easy Recipe from Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove Cookbook.  It is easy to make and loaded with lemon flavor.

What is in this easy extremely flavorful moist lemon cake?   It includes lemon cake mix, lemon pudding, and fresh lemon juice.  If you love lemon desserts, this easy lemon cake is fantastic.

Fresh lemon flavor bursts from this cake and then melts in your mouth.

The recipes I have tried from Debbie’s cookbook are delicious.  The pictures in the cookbook make you want to smell them.  Smelling the picture of this lemon cake did not work for me, so I just had to bake it.  I just could not get enough of this cake.

Who is Debbie Macomber and why did she write the Cedar Cove Cookbook?

You probably already know that Debbie Macomber is a #1 New York Times bestselling author.  She has written over 100 novels including the top-rated Cedar Cove series.  The Cedar Cove T.V. series is currently playing on the Hallmark Channel every Saturday night.  My family is hooked on this series.  Read more about Debbie Macomber and Cedar Cove on my post about Debbie’s BBQ Chicken Recipe.

This Lemonade Cake was so easy your kids could make it.  I can genuinely say it was the best Lemon Cake I have ever had.  This cake completely disappeared after one day. It is easy to make because you use a box cake mix.  The secret to this recipe is a box of instant lemon pudding mix and using juice from real lemons.

  1. I’m not sure about the glaze, the ingredients calls for sugar and lemon juice but the instructions says to mix sugar, milk and lemon juice. I don’t see milk in the ingredients.

    • Marian,

Thank you for stopping by my blog, Recipes For Our Daily Bread. Thank you also for catching that I left the milk out of the glaze. It looks like I combine both the milk and lemon juice when typing. It should have read: 1 cup confectioner’s sugar, 3 tablespoons whole milk, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
I hope you have a wonderful summer. Thank you for supporting my blog.

    • Diane,

This cake is super easy and delicious. The first time I made this cake I ended up making two in the same week. It was that YUMMY!

  2. Diane, I am a little confused about #3 and 4. #3 says bake the cake, and #4 says to add pudding mix and lemon juice to rest of cake mix. Should the last part of #3 come after #4?

    • Bobby,

Thank you for catching that. I just cleared the instructions up.
Mix the cake together with the ingredients according to the back of the package.
Mix in the pudding mix and the lemon juice.
Then, bake according to the package.
Thank you so much for stopping by Recipes for our Daily Bread and leaving me a message. We really enjoy this easy and delicious Lemon cake. I hope you will too.

    • Floy,
Thanks for leaving me a comment. We truly loved this lemon cake so much I have baked it twice in the past week and a half. I was thrilled when Debbie Macomber from Cedar Cove decided to allow me to review her cookbook. I have one more recipe to blog about before giving the cookbook away on Friday, August 30th which is a cornbread recipe. The BBQ Chicken I made was extremely good too. You may want to click on the BBQ Chicken post to register for Debbie’s cookbook I am giving away. //
I have a great cutting board giveaway starting Monday and a Wonderful Gooseberry cookbook giveaway starting the first week in Sept. I have another review lined up for October already. I am excited about how much my blog has grown in the past 60 days. I have decided to go ahead and run a few ads. You may notice them on your computer. Thanks for your support!
      Blessings and love, Diane
