LOADED CHILI QUESO CHEESE DIP

Velveta Cheese and non-brands like Kroger carry white cheese or Queso.  The Kroger brand Queso I purchased has Jalapenos included in it too.  If you are a white cheese dip fan, you will love this cheese product.  It is great by itself melted with a little milk, but I like to use it to make this Chili Queso Dip. Use this dip to smother on top of a hot dog or hamburger.  So, do not toss the leftovers.   If you do not know what to do with the leftovers, try serving it on top of your hot dogs. 

This queso recipe is a simple version of a warm chili cheese dip served in popular restaurants like Chili’s and Buffalo Wild Wings.  Be sure to serve this Loaded Chili Queso dip with your favorite tortilla chips.  

Use Your Slow Cooker

Once queso ingredients are melted and thickened up in a slow cooker, turn the slow cooker to warm.  It will be ready anytime your guest wants a terrific treat.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Velveeta Queso
  • 1 pound ground sausage cooked
  • One – 15 ounce can chili
  • Two teaspoons paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Spray a slow cooker with a cooking spray.
  • Brown the ground sausage and add it to the slow cooker.
  • Chop up the Queso Cheese into large cubes and add it to a slow cooker.
  • Add in the canned chili
  • Next, add the chili powder, Cayenne pepper, cumin, and milk.
  • Cook 2 – 1/2 hours in a slow cooker on low.
