Recipe Lion had a contest called Summer Potluck Recipe Challenge, and I made it into the top 10 recipes with two of my recipes.
UPDATE ON THIS POST: Thank you so much for voting for my Lofty Layered Lemon Cake and my Easy Blueberry Watermelon Salad. Both of these recipes made it to the top ten. I am not sure how many votes they received but the votes were split between the two recipes. Unfortunately, I did not win first place. Stay tuned because I have a love for cooking/recipe contest. I will enter more contest.
I added the Lemon Blueberry Cake recipe here.
Before going to bed last night, I checked my email and was over joyed to find out that not one but two of my recipes made it in Recipe Lion’s Summer Potluck Recipe Challenge.
Please keep reading! I need your help to vote daily for my recipes for me to win this Summer Pot Luck Challenge.
I have always been up for a challenge especially if it is a recipe challenge. You can see other challenges I have participated in this year at the bottom of this post. So, I could not wait to enter this Summer Pot Luck contest. Since I blog about super easy recipes and Recipe Lion was looking for easy recipes, I was extremely excited about entering.
What will the winner receive?
The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the RecipeLion test kitchen in Chicago, where they will spend the day in the kitchen with the in-house celebrity chef Addie Gundry. Addie has worked with Martha Stewart, Thomas Keller, and most recently, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay on season 13 of the Next Food Network Star. The winner will also be featured on the front page of our Summer Potluck eCookbook, and have the opportunity to be featured in an upcoming printed cookbook.
For a foodie and food blogger, this would be a GREAT DAY! After five years of blogging, it would be so nice to get exposure.
What did I enter?
I entered two of my favorite summer recipes. The combination of blueberries and lemons are one of my favorite summer combinations. I love it so much I have a blueberry bush and a lemon tree. To make my Lofty Layered Lemon Blueberry Cake easy, I used a lemon cake mix.
There is nothing more appealing to eat than a beautiful tall dessert which is why I made my lemon cake in three cake pans and stacked a cream cheese filling, blueberry, and lots of lemon zest between each the layers.
Please vote for my Lofty Layered Lemon Blueberry Cake. It is one of the top 10 recipes on Recipe Lion’s Summer Pot Luck Challenge. This link will take you to the page to vote where you will see all ten recipes. You may have to scroll down to see my cake. After you vote if you would like to see the recipe, click on the picture of the cake. The recipe will pop up.
My Simple Summer Blueberry Watermelon Salad is just as delicious. It is such a quick and easy recipe to whip together and perfect for summer picnics, parties, grilling and more.
You can vote for it on the same page as my Cake but only one vote each day.
