NO-BAKE COCONUT PIE

Coconut cream pie without the hard work!  This no-bake coconut pie is creamy plus a crunchy praline layer.  Every bite is dreamy!

I am a big-time coconut nut.  Trust me; you cannot get much better than this No-Bake Coconut Pie.  I’m also into easy recipes which is what I blog all about the less fuss, the better!  You cannot get much easier than this pie.  I cannot wait for you to see the simple steps below.

What is in this No-Bake Coconut Pie?

It includes a crunchy praline layer made with butter, brown sugar and pecans which is brought to a boil and quickly removed from the heat.  The creamy filling consists of two envelopes of Dream Whip Mix, milk, two packs instant vanilla pudding, vanilla, and coconut.  This combination makes the best no-bake coconut pie.

Praline Layer

This praline layer, when added to the bottom of this pie, is soft but crunchy.  Your fork should slide through the praline layer.   The secret to making the praline layer is to bring the ingredients to a boil and quickly remove it from the heat.

I am guilty!  Once I find something easy to do and fabulous I am guilty of adding it to as many different recipes as possible.   I have used this praline layer before in several of my pies and cakes including some recipe competitions.  You can see this praline layer in my favorite cheesecake ever, No-Bake Praline Cheesecake.   This combination of praline and coconut is a winner in this no-bake coconut pie.

  1. Hi Diane, enjoy your recipes a lot. Made ur broccoli/cheese soup and was excellent.question about no bake coconut pie, can i use cool whip in place of dream whip? I’m thinking i’d Need 4cups to compensate 2pks dream whip? Thanks for all your tasty recipes

    • Denise,

Thank you for trying my recipes on my blog, recipesforourdailybread.com. I love this NO-Bake Coconut Pie but I have never tried it with Cool Whip. I would think that it would be ok to substitute cool whip for dream whip but not sure. If you try it, let me know.

      Many blessings,

  2. One of my favorite pies is coconut. And I never thought to add pralines to a coconut pie, but now I am most definitely going to have to give this a try here. Thanks for sharing, Diane and hoping your are having a great weekend so far, too!! 🙂
