Quick and easy steps to make this easy spicy Southwestern Ranch Dressing recipe your family will love. It is perfect for wings, or as a dip, quesadillas, Southwestern Egg Rolls, Southwestern Pasta Salad, or even as a dressing.
This recipe is an excellent way to kick up your Ranch dressing. I took my Copycat Outback Ranch dressing and created this Southwestern Ranch Dressing.
Spicy Southwestern Ranch Dressing Recipe Ingredients
Spice up your life with this flavorful combination of ingredients including Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing Mix (Buttermilk Dry Ranch package), mayonnaise, buttermilk, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and cumin.
My family and I enjoy Ranch Dressings, especially the Copycat Outback Ranch I make. We also enjoy Southwestern food. The base of this Southwestern Ranch Dressing is the copycat Ranch recipe. It is so tasty! We use it on quesadillas but it is also an excellent dip for Southwestern Egg Rolls. It is delicious on a Southwestern Chicken Salad and makes a terrific Southwestern Ranch Pasta Salad.
How did I come up with this Spicy Southwestern Ranch Dressing?
After testing several amounts of Cayenne Pepper and Chili powder, I found a great combination. I started with 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper. My tongue loves a little spice, but my kids said it was too spicy. I like this Southwestern Ranch kicked up with at least 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne. Therefore, I make two batches of this Southwestern Ranch Dressing. The milder version is in the ingredients below and a more kicked up version for me and my husband with at least 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne. I would suggest making this Southwestern Ranch with 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper and tasting it before adding more Cayenne. You can control the heat level with the amount of Cayenne.
This Southwestern Ranch Dressing adds a lot of flavor to French fries and chicken wings. Since getting my Philips Airfryer, we enjoy a lot of crispy fried food without any oil or quilt which allows us to eat fries and other fried foods more often.
I loved this Southwestern Ranch so much I tried making other dressing from my Copycat Outback Ranch including a fabulous Cayenne Ranch, Jalapeno, and a Chipotle Ranch dressing. All of these dressings have been delicious.
