  • large bowl


  • 1/2 cup sweet cube pickles I use 1/2 cup pickle relish Since I use sweet pickle relish, I do not add sugar to the original recipe.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 small chopped onion Red or Purple
  • 2 shredded carrots if not using prepackage cabbage mix
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1 head cabbage about 8 cups


  • Mix everything except for the slaw.
  • Cover and Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Add the dressing to the slaw just before serving. This keeps the slaw crunchy. If you do not like your slaw crunchy, you can mix everything together earlier.
