Best Pumpkin Bread

  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups pumpkin or sweet potatoes up all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • one tsp salt
  • And one tsp baking soda
  • one tsp cinnamon
  • Plus one tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • or 3 tsp allspice
  • 1 packs 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Blend everything together.


  • Beat oil, melted butter, eggs, and pumpkin.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine the dry ingredients together.
  • Use a whisk and whisk all of these dry ingredients until combined.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients.
  • Mix with a large spoon until everything has been incorporated.
  • Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the center comes out clean when you insert a toothpick.
  • Test the pumpkin bread after 55 minutes using a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread. If it comes out clean it is done. Do not over bake.
