  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup real butter 1 stick
  • 2 cups quick grits
  • 3 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
  • Makes 8 servings

Instructions

  • Combine chicken broth, milk, water, salt, pepper and butter in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and stir in grits.
  • Reduce heat and cook QUICK GRITS for 7 minutes, stirring often to reduce lumpy grits.
  • Remove the grits from the heat and stir in shredded cheese.
  • Enjoy with eggs or as a side dish for dinner.
  • Serves 8.
