This post is all about the technique of getting sweet caramelized Brussel Sprouts. Plus, lots of flavor with Great Value bacon.
Prep Time10 mins
Cook Time20 mins
- 1 package Hickory Smoked Bacon Great Value
- 1 package Fresh Brussels Sprouts Halves Marketside
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
If you cannot find Great Value Fresh Brussels Sprouts halves, purchase the whole ones. Cut the end off that attaches to the stalk. Now, cut the Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
Cut each strip of bacon into eight pieces, lengthwise.
Empty bacon pieces into a skillet that has been heated to 350 degrees.
Cook bacon until brown and crispy.
Remove bacon from the skillet. Place it on paper towels. Leave bacon grease in the skillet.
Pour one bag of brussels sprouts into the skillet.
Flit each of the brussels sprouts over with the flat side down in the skillet.
Place a lid on the skillet and cook the Brussels sprouts for 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes, check one of the Brussels Sprouts to see if the bottom side has caramelized.
If the Brussels Sprouts are caramelized, turn them all over and season them with salt and pepper.
Add the crumbled bacon and cook an additional two minutes.
Add a teaspoon of granulated garlic with the salt and pepper.
Add 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese just before removing the brussels sprouts from the skillet.
